What is eDPI?
Effective DPI is mouse DPI multiplied by in-game sensitivity: 800 DPI × 0.35 = 280 eDPI. It compares players inside one game, because every game applies its own angular constant to that number.
Is my VALORANT eDPI normal?
Published pro settings cluster between roughly 200 and 350 eDPI. The calculator marks your value on that cluster and converts it to cm/360, which is the number that actually describes how far your hand travels.
How do I convert 400 DPI to 1600 DPI?
Multiply the sensitivity by the old DPI and divide by the new one: 2.0 at 400 DPI becomes 0.5 at 1600 DPI. The DPI change tab does it exactly and shows that eDPI and cm/360 stay identical.

The calculator multiplies DPI by sensitivity for eDPI, applies the documented angular constant of the selected game to turn it into degrees per count, and derives cm/360, inches per turn and counts per turn. Six games carry a community-compiled cluster of professional settings so your value is placed as below, inside or above the range. The DPI change tab rescales sensitivity inversely so the physical feel is preserved, and the cm/360 tab solves the sensitivity that produces a chosen desk distance.
Measurement boundary: eDPI compares only players of the same game; the pro clusters are compiled from published settings, not measured by us, and describe where most pros sit rather than what you should use. Real sensor DPI can differ from the label, and FOV, aspect ratio, acceleration and ADS multipliers still change how a setting feels.

eDPI
A game-specific comparison number. 280 eDPI in VALORANT and 880 eDPI in CS2 are the same physical sensitivity; the scales differ, not the players.
cm/360
Desk distance for one full turn. Under 20 cm is high sensitivity, 20–35 cm medium, 35–55 cm low, above 55 cm very low. It is the only number you can carry between games.
Pro cluster position
Inside the band means most professionals play near your setting. Outside is not wrong; large mousepads, arm aiming and roles pull individual pros far outside the cluster.
Troubleshooting unexpected results
My game has no pro cluster
Clusters are compiled only for games with enough published professional settings on a single sensitivity scale. The cm/360 band still classifies the setting physically.
Fortnite numbers look tiny
Fortnite eDPI uses the X-axis percentage as a plain number: 800 DPI × 7% is written as 56, not 5600. Enter 7 for 7%.
The rescaled value does not fit the menu
Some menus round to two decimals or cap the range. Change DPI in smaller steps or accept the nearest value and re-measure a 360° turn.
Frequently asked questions
What eDPI do VALORANT pros use?
Most published pro settings sit between 200 and 350 eDPI, around 0.3 at 800 DPI or 0.6 at 400 DPI, which is roughly 40–55 cm per 360° turn.
Is a higher eDPI better for aiming?
No. Lower eDPI favours micro-adjustments and stable tracking with more arm movement; higher eDPI favours fast turns with less desk space. The cluster shows what pros settled on, not a rule.
Does changing DPI change my eDPI?
Only if you keep the same in-game sensitivity. Rescale the sensitivity with the DPI change tab and eDPI, cm/360 and feel stay identical.
Can I compare eDPI between VALORANT and CS2?
Not directly. VALORANT uses a 0.07 yaw and CS2 a 0.022 yaw, so multiply VALORANT eDPI by about 3.18 to reach the CS2 scale, or use the sensitivity converter which does it with the documented constants.
Does this replace a DPI test?
No. It trusts the DPI you enter. If a mouse label is off by a few percent, measure it with the DPI analyzer and use the observed value here.
