Privacy by design

Privacy policy

Diagnostic sessions and saved setup profiles stay in your browser. Contact messages are sent only when you deliberately submit them.

Effective August 9, 2026

Scope

This policy describes Keymap Labs at keymap.io. It covers the public website, browser tools and messages sent to our contact address. It does not cover third-party sites linked from our content.

Diagnostic input

Controller axes and buttons, keyboard events, pointer events, click intervals and sensitivity inputs are processed locally in the active page. Keymap Labs does not upload or store raw diagnostic sessions. Use keyboard tools with isolated test keys, never passwords or private text.

Local profiles and exports

You can save a profile name, platform, device label, game label, DPI, sensitivity, deadzone values, notes and update time in your browser's local storage. This information leaves the browser only when you deliberately export a JSON file or copy it elsewhere. Imported files are parsed locally. Clearing site data, private-browsing cleanup or storage policies can remove profiles, so keep an export if the settings matter.

Language preference

The English homepage can compare the browser language reported by your device with the four available editions. Unsupported, missing or uncertain values remain English. A dismissed suggestion or explicit language selection is remembered in local storage so the chosen language stays active across page changes. Keymap Labs does not use an IP address to force a language or redirect.

Ordinary server data

Production hosting may create security and access logs containing IP address, request time, requested URL, referrer, browser user-agent and response status. These records support delivery, abuse prevention and troubleshooting and are retained only as operationally necessary.

Analytics and advertising

No behavioral advertising or analytics is currently active. If optional providers are introduced, this policy and the available consent choices will identify their purposes before data is processed. Raw controller, keyboard, pointer, touch, motion or sensitivity-session data will not be used as analytics events.

Messages and abuse prevention

If you use the contact form or email us, we receive the reply address, name, category, subject, message and ordinary delivery metadata needed to route and answer it. Automated checks help limit abusive or unsafe submissions. Messages may be retained for follow-up, security, legal obligations and recordkeeping, then deleted when no longer needed.

Legal basis and rights

Depending on location, processing may rely on providing the requested site, legitimate security and operational interests, consent for optional technologies or legal obligations. Applicable privacy laws may provide rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to personal information. Contact us to make a request; identity verification may be required.

Children, changes and contact

Keymap Labs is a general gaming utility and is not designed to collect personal information from children. Material policy changes will update the effective date and appear in the changelog. Contact hello@keymap.io with privacy questions.
