What the result actually measures
VALORANT draws its crosshair in screen pixels and never rescales it. Since the 23 September 2026 update CS2 stores its crosshair in pixels too, together with the resolution it was set at. So the inner line length, thickness and offset of a VALORANT crosshair are the CS2 length, thickness and gap at the same resolution, and scale by the ratio of the heights when the two games run at different resolutions.
Measurement boundary: CS2 has one set of arms, one opacity, a one-pixel outline and a dot the size of the line thickness. VALORANT outer lines, a thicker outline and a dot of its own size cannot be carried to CS2, and CS2 circles, T-style and dynamic spread have no VALORANT equivalent. Each of these is listed with the result. The two games can centre an odd-width line differently, so check the gap in the range.
How to interpret the output
Why the numbers carry across now
Both games measure the crosshair in pixels on your screen. Before 23 September CS2 used a scale tied to 1/480th of the screen height, so every conversion was an approximation; now length 4 in VALORANT is length 4 in CS2 at the same resolution.
Why the resolution matters
VALORANT keeps the pixels when you change resolution, so the same code looks smaller on a taller screen. CS2 rescales from the height it was set at. If you play VALORANT at 1080 and CS2 at 1440, every length is multiplied by 1.333 to look the same size.
Inner and outer lines
Most VALORANT crosshairs turn the outer lines off. When both are on, CS2 gets the inner lines, because those are the ones that sit where you aim.
Troubleshooting unexpected results
VALORANT says the profile could not be imported
Copy the whole code starting with 0;P. The converter writes only the values that differ from the defaults, which is what the game writes too.
The CS2 crosshair moves when I shoot
Your VALORANT inner lines had firing error on, so the CS2 style is Dynamic Cross. Choose Static Cross in the menu, or turn firing error off in VALORANT and convert again.
It looks one pixel off
The games round an odd line thickness to a different side of the centre pixel. Change the gap by one.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use my VALORANT crosshair in CS2?
Yes. Paste the VALORANT code and import the CS2 code it gives you, or paste the console commands. Length, thickness, gap, colour, opacity, outline and the centre dot carry across; outer lines do not, because CS2 has only one set of arms.
What is the CS2 equivalent of VALORANT offset?
The gap, cl_crosshair_gap. Both are pixels from the centre to the start of the line, at the same resolution.
Can I turn a CS2 crosshair into a VALORANT code?
Yes, paste the CS2 code. Old codes from before the 23 September update are converted to the new pixel crosshair first. Circles, T-style and dynamic spread have no VALORANT equivalent and are listed.
Is the code sent anywhere?
No. Reading and writing both codes happens in the page.
