Every game here keeps its vertical view and widens the sides on a wider screen, so the vertical angle is the one number that means the same view everywhere. Each value below gives your vertical angle in that game’s own unit.

Checked on 5 October 2026 against each game’s own settings and the PC Gaming Wiki. Apex Legends counts its slider in its own steps: the menu’s 110 is 108.5° on 4:3. VALORANT shows a 16:9 picture even on an ultrawide, with black bars.

Why the same number looks different

An “FOV 90” in Rainbow Six Siege is 90° from top to bottom; in Counter-Strike 2 it is 90° from side to side on an old 4:3 screen; in Call of Duty it is side to side on 16:9. On a 16:9 monitor those three are roughly 121°, 106° and 90° wide. Copying the number between games copies none of the view.

Field of view (FOV)

How wide an angle the game shows. Horizontal FOV is measured side to side, vertical FOV top to bottom; the same view gives two different numbers, and each game asks for one of them.

Quick answers before you test

Why does the same FOV number look different?

Games measure it differently: Rainbow Six Siege counts the vertical angle, Counter-Strike 2 and Apex Legends the horizontal angle on a 4:3 screen, Call of Duty and Overwatch 2 the horizontal angle on 16:9. FOV 90 in Siege, CS2 and Call of Duty is about 121°, 106° and 90° wide on a 16:9 monitor.

What is Overwatch 103 in Apex Legends?

About 87. Overwatch’s 103 is 103° wide on 16:9; Apex’s menu needs 87 for the same view, because its slider counts 4:3 angles in its own steps.

Horizontal or vertical FOV?

Both describe one view. On a 16:9 screen a 103° horizontal view is 70.5° vertical; the converter shows both for your screen.

Does an ultrawide change the number?

Not the number: every game here keeps its vertical view and shows more at the sides. The table recomputes the horizontal width for your screen; VALORANT alone adds black bars instead.

What the result actually measures

Each game’s menu value is turned into the vertical angle it sets: unchanged for games that count vertically, and 2 × atan(tan(h ÷ 2) ÷ reference aspect) for games that count horizontally on a 4:3 or 16:9 reference. Apex Legends first maps its menu value onto its real angle (110 is 108.5° on 4:3). Every game listed is Hor+, keeping its vertical view on any screen, so that one angle means the same view everywhere. It is then written back in every other game’s unit, rounded to the slider and held to its range, and the horizontal width is computed for your screen shape.

Measurement boundary: Definitions were checked on 5 October 2026 against each game’s settings and the PC Gaming Wiki; a game update can change a slider. Some games add their own effects on top of the FOV — sprint widening, weapon-specific zoom, ADS multipliers — which the base value does not cover. VALORANT and Counter-Strike 2 have a fixed view, so they can only be matched to, not changed.

How to interpret the output

Same view

The game’s slider reaches your view: enter the number and you see exactly what you see now, within a fraction of a degree.

At the end of its slider

The game cannot go as wide or as narrow as your view. The note says how many degrees you lose or gain at the slider’s limit.

Fixed in this game

VALORANT and Counter-Strike 2 do not let you change the view. The note shows how far it is from yours, so you can set your other games to match it instead.

Troubleshooting unexpected results

The view still feels different

Check the in-game options that change the view on top of the FOV: sprint FOV effects, ADS FOV in Call of Duty, weapon zoom scaling. Match those separately or turn them off.

My game is not in the list

Find whether its FOV is vertical or horizontal and on which screen shape (the game’s own settings tooltip or the PC Gaming Wiki usually say), then pick a listed game that counts the same way.

Aim feels faster or slower after changing FOV

FOV changes how far the picture moves per degree. Keep the same cm/360 in the sensitivity converter, and expect a short adjustment either way.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert FOV between games?

Pick your game and its FOV value, pick your screen shape, and read the other games’ values in the table. Each one gives the same vertical angle, which on a Hor+ game means the same view on any screen.

What is Apex 110 FOV in Call of Duty?

About 123 on 16:9: Apex’s 110 is 108.5° on 4:3, which is 123.3° wide on 16:9. Call of Duty’s slider reaches 120, so the closest is 120, about 3° narrower.

What is the Valorant FOV in other games?

VALORANT is fixed at 103° on 16:9. That is 103 in Overwatch 2 and Call of Duty, about 87 in Apex Legends and 71 in Rainbow Six Siege, which counts the 70.5° vertical angle.

How do I convert horizontal FOV to vertical?

Vertical = 2 × atan(tan(horizontal ÷ 2) ÷ aspect ratio). On 16:9, 90° horizontal is 58.7° vertical and 103° horizontal is 70.5°. The converter shows both for your screen.

What FOV should I use on an ultrawide?

The same number as on 16:9 in Hor+ games: the vertical view stays the same and the extra width shows at the sides. The converter shows how wide that becomes on 21:9 or 32:9.

What is Rainbow Six Siege 90 FOV in other games?

Siege counts vertically, so 90 is 121.3° wide on 16:9: about 108 in Apex Legends, and just past Call of Duty’s 120, its widest setting.
