AION 2 starts in AION 2 mode: W, A, S and D move, the mouse turns the camera with no cursor on screen, the left button attacks what the reticle is on, and Tab changes target. Shift sprints and, in a fight, dodges; Space jumps; F interacts; Alt brings the cursor back. V opens your wings to fly and Space switches flight to a glide. AION 1 mode keeps the cursor instead — click to move and to pick a target. A controller works on a fixed layout that NC does not officially support.

Can your board actually play AION 2?

Every default bind, re-scored against the keyboard you own. Distance is measured from the left hand resting on WASD, because that is where it stays while you play.

A 60% board has every key AION 2 asks for. 8 of its 21 default binds still need the left hand to leave WASD, so the board is not what holds you back here — the layout is. How that compares with every other game.

Reach uses the same key geometry as BindIQ, which can rebuild the whole layout for you once you know what is out of reach. Mouse buttons always count as reachable — your right hand is already there.

How do you fly in AION 2?

Press V to open your wings and V again to stop. You steer in the air the way you move on the ground, and Shift flies faster. Space switches flight to a glide — a slow descent — where holding W speeds it up and Shift adds a short burst. Flight and glide share one cooldown and use your flight gauge; when it runs out you fall.

How do you dodge in AION 2?

Shift in a fight, B on a controller. Press it before an enemy’s hit lands and you take no damage. Out of combat the same key is sprint.

What is the difference between AION 2 mode and AION 1 mode?

AION 2 mode, the default, hides the cursor: the mouse turns the camera, W A S D move you and you hit what the centre reticle is on, with Tab to lock the nearest target. AION 1 mode keeps the cursor on screen: you click to move and to pick a target, hold and drag to turn, and double-click an enemy to attack it.
