AION 2’s global service opened on time on 5 October 2026 at 13:00 UTC — one moment everywhere — on Steam and NC’s PURPLE launcher, free to play on Windows PC. NC counted 400,000 active players by that afternoon and opened two more server pairs in Asia within the first hour and a half. This page keeps the launch record, the server rules, the packs and the straight answers; the full server list, the control modes, the controller layout, the classes and the graphics-card check are one card away.

NC’s advanced-access notice gives the time, and the servers close for maintenance from 05:00 UTC that morning until launch.
Each page answers one question and none of them repeats another. Every figure is counted from what the page holds.

Because it is one moment rather than a midnight in each region, switching your console or store region buys you nothing — there is no zone that reaches it first. The countdown above is this same instant read on your own device's clock.
NC confirmed it would open on time and it did: 6:00 in Los Angeles, 14:00 in London, 15:00 in central Europe, 22:00 in Tokyo.
With any Founder’s Pack. NC moved the start back one hour on the day; maintenance runs from 05:00 UTC until launch.
With an optional monthly membership, a battle pass and cosmetics. Founder’s Packs cost $24.99, $49.99 or $99.99.
Both stores reach the same servers with the same content. Link the accounts only to keep one character on both.
The global version is PC only. Linux and the Steam Deck may run it but are not supported.
At launch: 18 server pairs in Europe, 8 in NA East, 6 in Latin America, 5 in NA West and 7 in Asia, two of those added on launch day. Each Elyos server is paired with an Asmodian one.
NC’s own count, posted about two hours after launch; it had announced 300,000 that morning.
Text in English, French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Japanese and Korean; voices in English, Japanese and Korean.

Everything here runs in the browser and takes minutes, so the first hour with the game is spent playing.
It came out on 5 October 2026 at 13:00 UTC, on time — 6:00 in Los Angeles, 9:00 in New York, 14:00 in London, 15:00 in central Europe and 22:00 in Tokyo. Founder’s Pack owners had played since 30 September; the servers were closed for maintenance from 05:00 UTC that morning.
At launch, 18 Elyos–Asmodian server pairs in Europe, 8 in NA East, 6 in Latin America, 5 in NA West and 7 in Asia, where NC opened two more pairs on launch day. Server names repeat between regions. The full list, with the early-access servers marked, is in the AION 2 lab.
NC announced 300,000 active players on the morning of 5 October and 400,000 about two hours after the global launch. It has not given a peak concurrent figure.
Yes. The global version is free to play, with an optional monthly membership, a battle pass and cosmetic items. The Founder’s Packs ($24.99, $49.99 and $99.99) add five days of early access, 30 days of membership and cosmetics.
No. The global version is for Windows PC only, on Steam and NC’s PURPLE launcher. The Korean and Taiwanese services also run on phones, but that version is separate.
A controller works, but NC says it is not officially supported. The guidebook lists a fixed layout — LT, RT and RB open extra layers for skills, stigmas and items — with no remapping on the controller.
Windows 10 or 11 64-bit and DirectX 12. Minimum: a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 4 GB, a Ryzen 5 2600 or Core i5-10500 and 8 GB of RAM, at 1080p on the Very Low preset. Recommended: an RTX 2070 with 8 GB, a Ryzen 7 3700X or Core i7-11700 and 16 GB, at 1080p on Low. Both need 100 GB, ideally on an SSD.
No. Server transfers open on 14 October, free at first, but NC says characters made in early access can move only between early-access servers — not to the servers that open at launch — and always within the same faction.
Each server holds one faction and is paired with a server of the other; the two meet in shared PvP spaces such as the Abyss. Pick the same region and faction as your friends, then a server — transfers later stay within a faction.
NC supports Windows PC only. It says the game may be playable on other platforms or devices, but neither Linux nor the Steam Deck is officially supported.
No. The global service is separate, and nothing from the Korean or Taiwanese versions carries across.
NC took Sanctuary Raid: Ludra out of the launch build because early-access players cleared it at a lower level of progression than NC intended. It returns with new mechanics and a First Clear event; NC will give the date by 16 October, and Ludra gear from early access is given back then.
I answer from this site only — the 28 browser tests, the controls library for 46 games, the sensitivity converters and the two games. I can tell you which page to open, how a tool works and what its result means.
I will not guess. If something is not on the site, I will say so.
