Settings that change how the bindings feel

Recommended starting settings

Cyberpunk does not have hold-or-toggle dropdowns. It binds two separate actions and never says which is which, which is why the game appears to ship two crouch keys and two sprint keys that behave differently. Unbinding the one you do not use is the whole fix.

Double-tap to dodge Mobility Off OnOff

On, a fast second tap of a movement key throws you sideways — which also means a fast strafe correction throws you sideways. Turning it off and using the dedicated dodge key that 2.0 added is the change that stops the game from dodging when you were only walking.

Mouse Sensitivity 20 – 40 0 – 100

An open world means far more camera turning than aiming, so this number tends to sit higher than a shooter player expects. The aim sensitivity below it is the one worth lowering. PC

Aim Sensitivity Lower than the look value 0 – 100

Cyberpunk's scopes magnify heavily and its smart weapons do not need to be aimed at all, so one number across both is always wrong somewhere. Set this for the sniper and let the smart weapons look after themselves.

Vibration Off OnOff

Driving rumbles for road surface, which on a DualSense also means resistance in the triggers you are steering and shooting with. Worth turning off for the car even if you keep it for the gunfights. Controller

Six keys change the moment you sit in a car

Night City runs two control schemes over the same keys and switches between them silently. Nothing tells you that R stopped being reload, and the rebinding menu lists both schemes separately, so a key you changed on foot can still do something else behind the wheel. A third column matters too: several keys behave differently depending on how long you hold them.

The last row is the one people search for. Cyberpunk ships two crouch keys and never explains the difference: C is a toggle you press once and forget, Left Ctrl is a hold you release to stand. Neither is broken and neither needs rebinding — pick the one that matches how you play and unbind the other, otherwise you will keep standing up in cover without knowing why. For everything above it, the fix is different: rebind on foot and in the vehicle separately in Settings › Controls, because changing one leaves the other alone.
