NBA 2K27 · Dribble moves · Checked 29 September 2026

NBA 2K27 dribble moves: every Pro Stick input, and the 29 animations behind them.

Dribble moves live on the right stick, the Pro Stick, and the same flick does different things depending on what you are doing. Pick the situation and the map redraws; plug in a controller and it names the move your stick is pointing at.

The Pro Stick map, by situation.

Every direction 2K documents for the situation you pick. 2K reads the stick relative to the hand the ball is in, so switching hands mirrors left and right.

Chain a combo, see the path your thumb draws.

Pick up to four moves in order. Each one is a separate flick back to centre; the spin is a full turn of the stick.

2K27 breaks signature dribble packages into 29 separate categories, so one player’s behind-the-back can sit beside another’s escape. Where 2K documents the input for a category, it is on the card.

Inputs come from 2K27’s in-game Learn 2K Controls screens and 2K’s NBA 2K27 gameplay page, nothing else. Escapes, misdirections and quick stops are left without an input because 2K has not documented one; which animation plays for a move is the one set in your player’s animations.

Answers

Dribble moves, straight answers

The dribble questions the search results ask, answered from 2K’s own controls and gameplay pages.

How do you do dribble moves in NBA 2K27?

With the right stick, the Pro Stick. Sizing up, flick it up for a crossover, left for between the legs, down-left for behind the back, down for a stepback, rotate it for a spin, and flick towards the hand the ball is in for a hesitation. 2K reads the stick relative to the ball hand, so a left-handed dribble mirrors left and right.

How do you do a moving breakdown in 2K27?

Hold the right trigger and flick the Pro Stick up while driving. Your player starts his signature breakdown combo without stopping, which is new in 2K27.

How do you do a no-look pass in 2K27?

Hold RB (R1 on PlayStation) and flick the Pro Stick towards the teammate you want. The passer looks the other way to sell it; his Pass Accuracy rating still decides whether it arrives.

How do you do an alley-oop in 2K27?

Throw it by double-tapping the lob pass — Y on Xbox, Triangle on PlayStation. To finish it, press the button on the side the pass comes from: X or Square for a pass from the left, B or Circle from the right. Or flick the Pro Stick towards the ball with good timing.

How do you do a step-through in 2K27?

Pump fake, then push the Pro Stick in one of five directions: the player steps through that way into a layup or a jumper. It works on a drive, in the post and when sizing up. Holding and moving the stick after your dribble ends also steps you through.

How do dunks work in NBA 2K27?

Every dunk is timed on the dunk meter. Hold RT and push the Pro Stick up to go, then time the release: the green window grows when you beat your man and shrinks when a defender closes on you in the air.

What are the dribble animations in 2K27?

2K27 splits signature dribble packages into 29 categories you can set one by one — triple-threat styles, size-ups, crossovers, escapes, misdirections, combos and more — so one player’s behind-the-back can sit beside another’s escape. The page lists all 29 and marks which ones have an input 2K documents.

Can you do a quick stop in 2K27?

Not with an input 2K documents. The controls screens and 2K’s gameplay page do not list one, so this page does not give one; the moves above are the ones 2K itself describes.
