Destiny 2 puts the class ability, melee, grenade and Super on Shift, C, F and F+C style keys on PC, with the three weapon slots on 1, 2 and 3. Controllers use the standard shooter layout with Super on both bumpers.

On the keys: your hand is already there
Comfortable: a finger moves, the hand does not
Stretch: the hand lifts, movement wobbles
Off movement: you let go of A and D to press it

Reach uses the same key geometry as BindIQ, which can rebuild the whole layout for you once you know what is out of reach. Mouse buttons always count as reachable — your right hand is already there.

Five abilities, one hand, and that hand is already busy

Destiny is an ability rotation played at a strafing pace. Your left hand holds A or D, taps Shift to sprint and Ctrl to slide — and the same hand has to reach five ability keys and three weapon slots, instantly, without stopping. The default layout is not wrong; it is simply larger than the hand that has to run it.

Grenade on F and the weapon slots are fine — they sit where the hand already is. The two that break a rotation are Super on X and Finisher on G, because both make you release movement in the moment you least want to stand still. Move those two to mouse side buttons and the whole kit becomes playable at strafing speed; that single change does more for Destiny than any other rebinding, and it is the reason experienced players run a mouse with thumb buttons.

How do I use my Super on PC?

Press X by default (both bumpers on controller) when the Super bar is full. Some players rebind it to Mouse 5 or Q so it is one press under stress.

What is the class ability key?

V on keyboard and the right stick press on controller: Titan barricade, Warlock rift and Hunter dodge. Aspects can change how it behaves but not the key.

How do I summon my sparrow?

Hold Tab to open the director overlay and select the sparrow, or use the summon prompt that appears when you are in a patrol zone.

How do I slide?

Sprint and tap Left Ctrl (Circle/B). Sliding into a shot is a core movement tech; a longer slide comes from the Traction mod.

Can I map weapon slots to the mouse wheel?
