How many lives does your wallet buy?

WARDOGS bills your kit every time you spawn, charges a fee before it sells you anything better, and wipes it all when the season ends. This is the money side of the game, worked out.

Steam
Your wallet buys 6 lives An M4, a GGX 17 and a parachute: $1,550 a life below level 9, $3,100 from it.
Official Season 2 starts 15 October — 7 days left of this wallet.

Every life is a purchase. Level 9 doubles it.

Kit is bought for a life and gone when it ends, and below Wardog level 9 it is half price. Each cartridge is one life your wallet buys. The red ones are paid for by the discount — they are gone the day you reach level 9.

Nothing earned back assumed. Enter what a life earns to see the real runway.

Unlock fees for this kit —
The kit travels inside the link. Nothing is uploaded.

What this assumes. Kit is paid per life and lost on death; the discount is a flat half below level 9 on every vendor item; payouts are unpublished, so the runway only uses what you enter. Prices and their sources are in the armory.

A gun is paid for twice: once to unlock, then every life

Past the starting kit, everything needs a track level and a one-time fee before the vendor will sell it. Drag how many lives you will get out of it and watch the fee shrink into the real price.

Real cost per life $6,400 M4 $100,000 to unlock, then $1,400 a life, spread over 20 lives.

Season 2 wipes the wallet. Spend it or bank it?

On 15 October cash, levels and unlocks reset, and leftover cash becomes Gold Bars at that day’s rate — cosmetics only, one way. Drag the split and see what your money turns into each way.

Official date, reported rules. Bulkhead announced Season 02 for 15 October on 22 September. What resets and the cash-to-gold conversion are reported the same way by several guides and the game’s Wikipedia article; the rate moves daily and is never assumed here. Any unlock bought now is a rental that ends on 15 October.

Who holds the zone, and who reaches 100 first

The heaviest company in the control zone scores a point every 10 seconds; first to 100 wins. A player in the Hot Zone counts twice and earns double cash, and there are two ways to drag the Hot Zone to you. Press them.

      • Hot Zone: counts twice, pays double
      • Tower
      • FOB with a drill rig
      • One square, one player; a pair, one player in the Hot Zone
      • Control zone: 2 km × 2 km

Each zone has two to five towers. The console on a tower’s second floor gives one digit of a code; enter the whole code and the Hot Zone moves to that tower for a while.

      Your company
      Needs 10:00 of holding

      Other enemy
      Needs 13:20 of holding
The enemy company holds the zone · 6 points a minute If nobody takes it off them, the match ends in 7:30. —

Rules and one assumption. Scoring, the Hot Zone, towers, drill rigs and FOB builds are the game’s own description as the community wiki and Wikipedia summarise them; tower and drill timings are not published. Nor is what happens on a tie: this assumes a tie holds nobody. A match held start to finish is 16:40 of holding.

      Keys with a second job

WARDOGS changes what a key does by what you are holding, and the rebind screen shows one job at a time. Lit keys have more than one; red ones are where players report a rebind breaking something.

Move Reload off R, or bind something else to R, and manual reloading stops in vehicles and on mortars.

Reported. Jobs are read from the default layout; the breakages are player reports on Steam, none in the patch notes. The full layout, vehicles, helicopter and graphics settings are at WARDOGS controls.

Keep score of the wallet, not the kills

Log what a match paid and what it cost. The Wallet starts from your real balance, and Unlocks counts how many matches away the next one is. Kept in this browser only.

      No matches logged yet.

Which gun is cheap depends on how long you keep it

Sort the whole roster by what it costs a life, what it costs to unlock, or both together — then drag how many lives you will play it and watch the order change as the unlock fee spreads thinner.

Community-reported Per-life prices: TechWiser weapons guide (22 Sept) and Recharge money guide (11 Sept), cross-checked, read on 26 September 2026. Unlock fees: a community snapshot of the unlock screens, 2 September. Bulkhead publishes neither, and Early Access patches move both.

      What Bulkhead has actually said

The problems people search for most, next to the developer’s own record. Where Bulkhead has said nothing, so do we.

      Kicked from the server

      1. The “kicked from server” message now only appears if you were actually banned. Before this, ordinary disconnects showed it too.
      2. Launch Stability Hotfix #1 targeted players being unexpectedly kicked from servers during play. The client update forced a restart and a fresh pass through the login queue.
      • Let Steam finish any pending WARDOGS update before you queue again — the hotfix was a client update.
      • If the same server keeps dropping you, try a community server from the server browser rather than requeueing into the same one.

Official Bulkhead’s Steam announcements: the Season 1 changelog (9 September), Launch Stability Hotfix #1 (10 September) and Patch 0.11 (14 September). The steps are ordinary checks, not fixes the developer has confirmed.

How much money do you start with in WARDOGS?

A new account gets $10,000 once. It is a seed, not an allowance: the wallet carries across matches and sessions, and every loadout you spawn with is paid out of it.

Do you lose your weapons when you die in WARDOGS?

Yes. Weapons, magazines and ammunition are bought for a life and are gone when it ends, so a loadout is paid again every time you spawn.

What is the level 9 discount in WARDOGS?

Every vendor item is half price while your Wardog level is below 9. The discount ends for good at level 9, so the same kit costs twice as much a life from then on.

How much does an M4 cost in WARDOGS?

$2,800 a life, or $1,400 below Wardog level 9 — after a one-time unlock fee of $100,000 at Assault level 20, as reported in a community snapshot of the unlock screens. With a GGX 17 and a parachute that is $3,100 a life at full price.

What are the free weapons in WARDOGS?

The Bushmaster M17S, the A-91 and the KH-2002 assault rifles cost nothing. With a parachute, a life on one of them costs $100 at full price.

      When is the WARDOGS wipe?

Season 2 starts on 15 October 2026, announced by Bulkhead on 22 September. At a season change cash, XP, levels and unlocks reset. Leftover cash is converted into Gold Bars at that day’s exchange rate; Gold Bars carry over and buy cosmetics only, and the conversion is one way.

      Does WARDOGS have classes?

No fixed classes: your role is whatever you buy. Progression runs on seven tracks instead — Assault, Medic, Support, Recon, Driver, Pilot and the Wardog account level — each levelled by playing that role and each with its own unlocks and fees.

How does the Hot Zone work in WARDOGS?

The company with the most weight in the control zone holds it and scores a point every ten seconds; the first to 100 points wins. Inside the zone, the Hot Zone counts each player as two and pays double cash, so moving people into it is the fastest way to outweigh another company.

How do towers and drills work in WARDOGS?

Each control zone has two to five towers. The console on a tower’s second floor gives your company one digit of a code; enter the whole code and the Hot Zone moves to that tower for a limited time. A drill rig built at a forward operating base pulls the Hot Zone to itself while it runs on fuel, then needs a cooldown — and unlike a tower, it can be destroyed.

How much does a helicopter cost in WARDOGS?

To deploy, as a community vehicle guide listed them on 12 September: MH-6 $6,250, AH-6M $7,000, Z20 Lakota $7,400, AH-6R $12,500 and Havoc $18,000. The armed ones also need a Pilot-track unlock first — the Havoc is $500,000 at Pilot level 35.

How many players are in a WARDOGS match?

Up to 100: three companies — Lonestar, Valkyra and Manticore — of up to 33 players each, fighting over one 2×2 km control zone on a 256 km² map.

Is WARDOGS on PS5 or Xbox?

Not yet. WARDOGS launched in Early Access on PC through Steam on 10 September 2026, and Bulkhead’s launch announcement says consoles are coming in 2028.

Why was I kicked from a WARDOGS server?

Bulkhead’s 9 September changelog made the “kicked from server” message appear only for real bans — before that, ordinary disconnects showed it too — and Launch Stability Hotfix #1 on 10 September targeted unexpected kicks. If one server keeps dropping you, try a community server from the server browser.
