Can you run Gears E-Day? Check your graphics card

Gears E-Day needs a graphics card with ray-tracing hardware, and your browser can say which card you have. The check below reads it, tells you whether the game will start at all, and places the card against the publisher's own tiers — without installing anything.

If your browser does not name the card, choose it from the list below and the check runs the same way.

Every current graphics card by approximate speed, with Gears E-Day's tiers drawn on. Hollow cards have no ray-tracing hardware.

Gears E-Day PC tiers as the publisher lists them. 115 GB on an SSD; Windows 10 22H2 minimum, Windows 11 25H2 recommended.

The browser cannot see your processor, memory or drive, so check those against the table yourself. Speeds are rounded averages of public benchmarks and only place a card against the publisher's list; the ray-tracing check is exact. Nothing about your hardware leaves this page.

Gears E-Day on PC: straight answers

Can my PC run Gears of War: E-Day?

Only if the graphics card has hardware ray tracing — it is a requirement, not a setting. Microsoft’s final table targets 1080p at 60 fps on Medium with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or RTX 5050, or an AMD Radeon RX 6600 or RX 9060, with 6 GB of video memory and 12 GB of RAM; 1440p at 60 fps or more on High with an RTX 3060 Ti or RTX 5060, or a Radeon RX 6700 XT or RX 9060 XT, with 8 GB and 16 GB; and 4K at 60 fps or more on Ultra with an RTX 5070 Ti or Radeon RX 9070 XT. Every tier assumes upscaling (DLSS, FSR, XeSS or TSR). Any GTX card, and any Radeon older than the RX 6000 series, falls below the line however fast it is otherwise. The install is 115 GB and has to go on an SSD.

What frame rate does E-Day run at?

60 fps in the campaign and Horde Siege, and up to 120 fps in multiplayer on Xbox Series X. The gap matters for a timing mechanic: at 60 fps a frame holds the picture for 16.7 ms, at 120 fps for 8.3 ms, so the same Active Reload window gives you twice as many chances to see where the marker actually is.
