Can we all play together? Put in every device.
Add each console or PC your party will play on and how many people sit at it. The planner names the kind of co-op you have and lists what every device needs — the game, an online subscription, controllers — from Mojang’s own rules. A party is at most four heroes.
- 1 2
- 2 1
Players at one device share its screen. Up to four devices, up to four heroes in all.
One hero, one screen. Nothing else to buy or connect.
Everyone on one screen and one copy of the game — no internet and no subscription needed.
Each device joins the others online. Cross-play covers every version, so the platforms do not have to match.
A shared screen and online players in the same party — Mojang’s name for it is mixed co-op.
A party is four heroes. Take someone off, or split into two parties.

The couch check
Plug in every controller your party will use and press a button on each. Every one lights a hero and is read on its own: the left stick walks, and in Dungeons II the right stick is the dodge — so a right stick that does not rest at centre rolls your hero on its own.
- P1 Plug in a controller and press any button Walk—Dodge—
- P2 Plug in a controller and press any button Walk—Dodge—
- P3 Plug in a controller and press any button Walk—Dodge—
- P4 Plug in a controller and press any button Walk—Dodge—
Nothing is sent anywhere: the browser reads the controllers, and the readings stay on this page. A stick that moves more than 12% off centre while untouched counts as drifting.
