FC 27 skill moves by star rating

Every FC 27 skill move by star rating, with the PlayStation and Xbox input and a stick diagram for each one. The FC 26 library carries over and 18 moves are new this year, from the 1-star Giant Fake Shot to the 5-star Running Fake Drag; the Kneeling Header needs the Trickster PlayStyle. Inputs are for the Classic controller layout; R is the right stick, L the left stick.

EA's launch ratings give five-star skill moves to 60 players out of nearly 20,000: 51 men and 9 women. At launch they are the only players who can perform the five-star moves above. 30 of them also carry the Trickster PlayStyle, 3 of those as Trickster+.

How to read the diagrams

Each circle is the stick seen from above with forward at the top. A straight arrow is a flick, a filled dot is a hold, a curved path is a rotation, and the numbers give the order. Chips above a diagram list the buttons to hold or press first. Directions are relative to the way the player faces, which is why the same move looks mirrored when the player turns.

Star ratings

A player's Skill Moves rating caps what they can do: a 3-star player performs every 1, 2 and 3-star move; only 5-star players have the full library. Check the rating on the player card before you try a rainbow with a centre back.

Has any update changed FC 27 skill moves?

Not the moves themselves. Up to Title Update v1.0.4 on 7 October 2026 no input or star rating has changed since launch. Two updates fixed five-star moves in The Grounds: v1.0.1 let avatars use the five-star moves they had unlocked in Street Football, and v1.0.3 fixed some that would not fire in certain modes.

What are the new FC 27 skill moves?

18 of them. 1-star: Giant Fake Shot and the Kneeling Header (with the Trickster PlayStyle). 2-star: Stop and Go, Drag to Drag. 3-star: Foot to Foot, Lateral Heel to Heel. 4-star: Drag Turn, Standing Scoop Turn, Flair Roulette, Four Touch Skill, Skilled Bridge, Drag to Chop, Ball Roll Spin, Fake Turn. 5-star: First Time Spin, Alternate Elastico Chop, Running Fake Drag, Stepover Combo. Each carries a New badge on this page.

How do you do the Kneeling Header in FC 27?

Hold L2 and R1 (LT and RB on Xbox) and flick the right stick up as the cross arrives. It is a 1-star move, but only players with the Trickster PlayStyle can perform it, so check the card before you try it with a centre forward.

Why could I not do 5-star skill moves in The Grounds?

An early-access bug: avatars with the 5-star skill level unlocked and equipped still could not perform 5-star moves in street matches. Title Update 1.0.1 fixed it on 23 September 2026, so the full list on this page works there now.

Which players have 5-star skill moves in FC 27?

Sixty at launch: 51 men and 9 women. Kylian Mbappé and Alexia Putellas lead at 91, then Lamine Yamal, Ousmane Dembélé and Michael Olise at 90. Thirty of the sixty also carry the Trickster PlayStyle. The table on this page lists all of them with their weak foot, from EA's own ratings.

How do you do an elastico in FC 27?

Rotate the right stick from right, down through to left in one quick quarter-circle sweep (→↓←). The reverse elastico is the mirror (←↓→). Both need a 5-star skill mover.

How do you do a roulette?

Rotate the right stick from down, through the side you want to turn to, up to forward: ↓ through ← for a roulette right, ↓ through → for a roulette left. Three stars are enough.

How do you do a ball roll?

Hold the right stick left or right while the player faces forward. Add a left-stick push the opposite way for a ball roll cut (4-star), or a flick up after the hold for a ball roll flick (5-star).
