How to use: Touchscreen & Gyro Lab

Open the page on the target phone or tablet and rotate to the normal play orientation.

Use your normal grip to touch each planned HUD zone and repeat a real multi-finger combination.

Request motion access if needed, rotate the device slowly through each axis and record unavailable states honestly.

What the result actually measures

The touch surface records active pointer contacts, the maximum simultaneous count, contact positions, edge-zone entries and duration. The motion panel reports whether orientation or device-motion events are exposed and displays current values after permission.

Measurement boundary: Browser events include operating-system gesture interception and scheduling. This is not a digitizer latency or gyroscope calibration certificate, and desktop device emulation cannot reproduce physical reach.

How to interpret the output

Contact maximum

The largest number of simultaneous contacts delivered to this page during the session.

Edge entries

Contacts beginning inside the outer 8% of the surface; missing edges may involve system gestures or reach.

Motion stream

Changing values show browser exposure only. In-game filtering and calibration remain separate.

Troubleshooting unexpected results

A screen edge misses touches

Repeat away from the OS gesture area, remove accidental palm contact and test without charging or a thick protector.

Permission button changes nothing

The browser/device may not expose the API. Try a secure current mobile browser and keep the unavailable result in the report.

Frequently asked questions

Can this find the best mobile HUD?

It maps observed reach and combinations; the best layout still depends on grip, hand size, game and accessibility needs.

Can it test multiple fingers?

Yes, through pointer events delivered to the surface. OS gestures may intercept some edge contacts.

Are touch positions uploaded?

No. The heat trail exists only in the current page session.
