Quick answers
What are the default controls in R.E.P.O.?
W, A, S and D move, Space jumps, Ctrl crouches, Shift sprints and Q tumbles. Hold the left mouse button to grab something, hold the right mouse button to rotate it and use the mouse wheel to push it away or pull it closer. Hold Tab for the map, press E to interact and 1, 2 and 3 for the item slots. T opens chat, V is push to talk, B toggles mute, and 5 to 0 are the six expressions.
How do you rotate objects in R.E.P.O.?
Grab the object with the left mouse button, keep holding it, then hold the right mouse button and move the mouse: the object turns instead of your view. Let go of the right button to look around again. It is how a long painting or a vase goes through a door without touching the frame.
How do you push and pull objects in R.E.P.O.?
While you hold an object with the left mouse button, scroll the mouse wheel. One direction pushes it further from you, the other pulls it in. Pulling it close helps on stairs and in tight corridors; pushing it out keeps a fragile item away from walls while you walk.
What does tumble do in R.E.P.O.?
Q drops your semibot into a ragdoll roll on purpose. The Tumble Launch upgrade from the shop makes the tumble throw you much further, which turns Q into a dodge, and Tumble Climb, an upgrade added in the Monster Update, builds on the same key.
How do you use expressions in R.E.P.O.?
Press the number keys 5 to 0: angry, sad, suspicious, eyes closed, crazy and happy, in that order. Settings › Controls has a Player Expressions switch that sets whether an expression stays on until you press the key again or only while you hold it.
How do you change keybinds in R.E.P.O.?
Open Settings and choose Controls. Click the box next to an action and press the new key; crouch, sprint, grab, the map and expressions also have a Toggle or Hold switch under their key. Reset To Default Settings at the top puts every key back.
Can you play R.E.P.O. with a controller?
Not natively. Steam lists no controller support for R.E.P.O., and the game reads keyboard and mouse. A controller works only through a Steam Input layout or a mod that maps it to these keys.
