Steer the tip
Move the mouse. The whip streams ahead of you and its glowing tip floats about five metres down the trail: that is where a crack lands. Slow movement steers the tip; it never cracks.
Free browser whip game · no download · no clicks
Run an endless forest at dusk with a lantern and a real physics whip. Flick the mouse to crack it; the crack is the only weapon. Thornlings, moth swarms and a Warden that blocks the trail, a daily seeded run and country leaderboards.
Touch screen detected: drag with one finger to move the hand and flick to crack. A mouse gives the cleanest cracks.
How to crack
The whip is pinned to your hand. Everything you do with the mouse is a wind-up, a flick or a stop; the game reads the tip, not your clicks.
Move the mouse. The whip streams ahead of you and its glowing tip floats about five metres down the trail: that is where a crack lands. Slow movement steers the tip; it never cracks.
A short, fast flick and a hard stop: the moment your hand passes 6.5 m/s the whip snaps at the glow. The meter on the right turns gold as it happens. 11 m/s is a perfect crack and pays 50% more; a hard 5 cm flick gets there.
Flick when a creature reaches the tip. Down for Thornlings and Snares on the ground, up or sideways for moths and Wisps in the air, twice for the Boar. A crack that touches nothing is a whiff and resets the combo.
Bestiary
Every creature is introduced the first time it appears. Read the tactic once and the run explains the rest.
Scuttles low along the trail. One crack. Flick downward so the tip reaches the ground.
From the startSwarms of three to five at chest height. A horizontal sweep through the swarm scores every moth the tip touches.
From 110 mBig, two hits, charges once it is close. Crack it early, then crack again on the charge.
From 320 mHarmless bonus light that weaves side to side. Worth three Thornlings; crack it as it crosses the middle of the trail.
From 200 mRises from the ground across your lane. It does not move on its own, so time a low crack as it comes up.
From 460 mBlocks the trail every 800 m. Three glowing knots, each worth 200. Clear all three before it closes the distance.
From 800 mDaily run

Mouse setup
Lashline reads how fast the tip moves, so your mouse settings are part of the game. Four checks, each one a Keymap Labs tool.
Set Sensitivity so a relaxed 4 to 6 cm flick just turns the meter gold. Too high and every twitch cracks; too low and your arm does the work.
Sensitivity converter →The hand moves a fixed distance per count, so a mouse that reports 1600 DPI but delivers 1550 feels slightly slow. Measure it once.
Mouse DPI analyzer →The crack is a speed measurement. A stable 1000 Hz mouse gives the rope clean velocity samples; a 125 Hz mouse can under-read fast flicks.
Polling rate test →Lashline rewards a fast wrist and a precise stop. AimFlow trains the same muscles on targets instead of creatures.

Yes. It runs in your browser with WebGL. No installer, no account, no paywall. Results stay on your device unless you post a run to the leaderboard with a display name.
The game reads the speed of your hand every frame. A flick that peaks above 6.5 metres per second is a crack, above 11 a perfect one, and it fires at the peak of the motion, 50 to 80 milliseconds after you start moving. The crack lands at the glowing tip ahead of you and the rope, a physics simulation pinned to your hand, snaps through it.
The rope is a real simulation (a 26-segment Verlet chain with gravity, damping and the air stream of your run), so it behaves like a whip: it needs speed, it cracks at the peak of the motion and it streams ahead of you as you run. It is tuned for play, not for physics teaching.
Hand travel per mouse count is fixed, so a higher DPI mouse moves the hand further for the same physical distance. Use the Sensitivity setting to make a comfortable 5 cm flick reach the crack speed. The DPI analyzer and polling rate test on Keymap Labs show what your mouse actually delivers.
Yes. Drag with one finger; the hand follows your finger and a fast flick cracks the whip. A mouse gives finer control for leaderboard runs.
One seeded trail per UTC day: the same creatures in the same order for everyone. Scores go on a world leaderboard and a leaderboard for your country. Endless runs use a random trail and post to the open board.
One point per metre plus creature points (Thornling 50, Ash Moth 30, Bramble Boar 120, Wisp 150, Vine Snare 60, Warden knot 200) multiplied by your combo (up to ×3) and by 1.5 for a perfect crack. The server checks every posted run against those rules.
A display name you choose, a country you can change, the score, distance, best combo and a hashed connection identifier used only to limit posts. No email, no account, no tracking across sites.
